Registration Policies for 

Music Together® Mixed-Age (0-5y) classes




Like most educational/school programs, we cannot refund tuition or give credit for classes missed during a 10 week session (or a 6 week summer session); even if the absences have been frequent. Also, the entire orientation of the Music Together program is toward extending the class experience into the child’s life outside of the class by means of parent education and supporting materials, such as the recordings and songbooks and the Family Music Zone. Tuition includes these items and consequently is not “wasted” even if the classes are missed. Two makeup classes allowed per semester where possible.



If a class needs to be canceled due to teacher illness/absence or inclement weather, the session will be extended an extra week to make up the class time. You will be notified in the event of a cancellation. We follow the Cedar Rapids School district and their cancellation policy with regard to snow closures.

If the class for which you registered does not fill, you will be asked to move to your second choice day/time. If that is not possible, we will either credit you for another session or refund your tuition.


We offer many opportunities for you and your family to participate in a class setting before registering; therefore we do not give tuition refunds once the session has begun.




Younger or Older Siblings in Mixed-Age classes: Siblings under 7 months are encouraged to come to mixed-age Music Together class with their older sibiling although infants get tremendous benefit from class, we do not charge tuition for siblings under 7 months, but space may be limited so please let us know if you will be bringing your baby. Siblings in Kindergarten and up are counted as caregivers in mixed age classes and are also not charged tuition (although we welcome them in class when space allows!). 


You may bring an additional sibling or visiting family member ages 0-5y up to three times per semester.  Please email to confirm visiting children ages 0-5y.

Music Together is a curriculum-based program so drop-ins are not permitted.  




 $160.00 per session – Fall, Winter, and Spring. Cost of 6-week Summer session is $108. Each family pays a registration fee of $20 once per year, and $15 for returning families. Tuition is due within two (2) weeks of reserving a class day and time to confirm the reservation. Siblings may join a class for an additional $80 ($65 for Summer session with no registration fee for new students). Infants under 7 months are free when attending with a sibling. All classes meet for 45 minutes once a week for 10 weeks each academic session (Fall, Winter and Spring). Summer session runs for 6 weeks.



To attend a class, tuition must be paid in full. Tuition is due within 2 weeks of reserving a spot in class. 

$15 finance charge will be added if your account is 30 days overdue. 
No refunds will be given once the class has started.

Collection-specific materials and support: CD (2 copies); digital access to collection music via the free "Hello, Everybody" app (available on Google Play and iTunes) 


Access to our Family Music Zone (activities and ideas for keeping music play going outside of class); guidebook with dvd for new families. 


You will automatically receive a quarterly enewsletter from our licensing organization, Music Together , LLC. This newsletter includes fun info, videos and other fun stuff to enrich your understanding and experience of our curriculum and of early childhood music learning.
